Ofgem hits £2.5bn offshore transmission milestone with West of Duddon Sands contract award

A joint venture between Macquarie and 3i Infrastructure has won the rights to own and operate the grid link to the West of Duddon Sands offshore wind farm near Barrow-in-Furness, marking an end to Ofgem’s latest Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) tender round.
